What is Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle?

Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle is a free mobile puzzle game where you lead hungry ant swarms across pixel-art feasts. Tap a color to unleash its colony, and watch it devour every matching pixel in sight. Simple to learn, quietly demanding to master - every level is a small lesson in planning your tap order. No timers, no pressure, and it works offline.

1

Scan the feast

Before tapping anything, find every food color and its biggest group. A ten-second survey prevents most restarts.

2

Clear the biggest group

Tap the color with the most pixels first. It takes the longest to clear, and opening it up early frees the most space.

3

Chain your swarms

Release each ant swarm in order so every color sweeps cleanly. A blocked color should wait for the color in front of it.

4

Clear every crumb

When the last pixel is devoured, the level is complete. Stuck? Watch the walkthrough here and retry with fresh eyes.

Golden rules from top players

Biggest first

Always clear the largest color group before the small ones. It keeps the board open for the swarms that need it.

Leave the crumbs

Never tap a scattered color early. Wait until the board has opened up, then sweep all its pixels in one motion.

Tap once, clear all

Seconds spent planning the order save minutes of stray taps. Check which colors block each other before you commit.

Reset when stuck

Four taps in with no plan? Restart. A fresh board is faster than untangling scattered pixels.

Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle FAQ

Quick answers to the questions players ask most.

How do I play Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle?

Tap a color to release a matching ant swarm, which marches across the board and devours every food pixel of that color. A level is complete when every color has been cleared. There are no timers and no move limits, so you can plan each tap carefully.

Is Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle free to play?

Yes. Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle is free to download on Android. It is supported by ads and optional in-app purchases, but you never need to pay to finish a level.

How many levels does Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle have?

Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle ships with hundreds of levels across four difficulty tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. We currently publish a full video walkthrough for 545 of them, with more added as they are solved.

Where can I find Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle level solutions?

Every walkthrough on this site includes a full YouTube video solution plus a step-by-step written strategy for that exact level. Just search your level number on the levels page to jump straight to it.

Why do I keep getting stuck on the same level?

Most stuck runs come from tapping one color too early and stranding another color's pixels in a corner. On hard boards, clear the biggest group first and the scattered colors last — and when one color blocks another, clear the blocking color first.

Does Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle work offline?

Yes. Once installed, the game can be played fully offline — there are no timers and no online requirements during normal play.
