Food Hunt Level 1049 Walkthrough
ExpertStuck on Food Hunt level 1049? Follow the full 49-block clear of the cat-in-the-meadow board: a 42-pixel white opener, slot 5 chained shut until 4:35, a dark grey block that sits in its slot for nearly six minutes, and a 94-pixel cyan finish that empties the board at 7:15.

How the Level Works
1. Tap a color block in the bottom queue to send it into one of the five slots above. Slot 5 is the exception on this level: it is chained shut when you arrive. 2. Ants of that color pour out and eat every reachable pixel of the matching color on the picture; the number printed on the block counts down as pixels are eaten. At 0 the block vanishes and frees its slot. 3. Slot 5 unlocks at about 4:35. Until then you are feeding four slots only, and the first block into the fifth slot is orange ×53 at 4:42. 4. Colors are eaten in layers. Blue arrives four times (51, 31, 61, 47), cyan seven times (12, 18, 16, 88, 91, 76, 94), dark grey four times (49, 30, 129, 50), teal five times (15, 8, 60, 18, 64, 12, 37): the first pass takes whatever is exposed, and the next pass digs out the cells the earlier ants could not reach. 5. Eat the entire picture to win. Pixels can be buried under other colors, so some blocks pause ("stuck") for minutes until a neighbour opens the way — this is normal and you never need to re-tap them.
Colors in this level: White (the clouds, the cat's muzzle, chest, belly patch and paws), Dark grey (the outline drawn around every shape), Orange (the cat's body and tail), Rust (the cat's dark fur stripes and ear tips), Yellow (the flower dots in the meadow), Green (the meadow), Teal (the dark-green hedges and the ground band), Cyan (the large light-blue sky field), Blue (the deeper blue sky stripes at the top of the picture), Pale pink (the pale-pink ear highlights), Magenta (the bright pink inner ears and the nose).
Complete Block Order (Which Color First, Then Which)
Timestamps are when the block lands in a slot. Count is the number printed on the block as it lands.
Phase 1 — White First, Then Four at Once (0:04 – 0:32)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0:04 | ⬜ White | 42 |
| 2 | 0:25 | 🟦 Blue | 51 |
| 3 | 0:25 | 💠 Teal | 15 |
| 4 | 0:25 | 🩷 Pale pink | 7 |
| 5 | 0:25 | 🟩 Green | 21 |
| 6 | 0:31 | ⬛ Dark grey | 49 |
| 7 | 0:32 | ⬛ Dark grey | 30 |
A single white ×42 block runs the whole first twenty seconds on its own while the board is still untouched. It drains from 42 down to 1 and clears at 0:24 — and the moment its slot frees, four taps land inside one second: blue ×51, teal ×15, pale pink ×7 and green ×21 take slots 1 to 4. Two more dark grey blocks (×49, ×30) follow.

Phase 2 — The Big Dark Grey and the Slot-2 Refills (0:35 – 0:53)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 0:35 | ⬛ Dark grey | 129 |
| 9 | 0:37 | 🟩 Green | 11 |
| 10 | 0:41 | 🩵 Cyan | 12 |
| 11 | 0:46 | 🟦 Blue | 31 |
| 12 | 0:46 | 🩵 Cyan | 18 |
| 13 | 0:52 | 🟦 Blue | 61 |
| 14 | 0:53 | 🟦 Blue | 47 |
Dark grey ×129 is the block that defines this level. It lands in slot 1 at 0:35 and stays there until 6:21 — almost six minutes, trickling from 129 all the way down to 12. Meanwhile slot 2 becomes a rapid relay of short blocks: green 11, then cyan 12, then blue 31, cyan 18, blue 61 and blue 47, each one finishing in a handful of seconds.

Phase 3 — The Long Grind Begins (1:05 – 1:34)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 1:05 | 🟧 Orange | 58 |
| 16 | 1:06 | 🟨 Yellow | 10 |
| 17 | 1:10 | 🟩 Green | 73 |
| 18 | 1:34 | ⬜ White | 81 |
Orange ×58 goes into slot 2 at 1:05 and drains down to 39 by about 2:04, where it stalls — the cat's head is still walled in by the outline. Green ×73 and white ×81 open the meadow around it. White ×81 parks itself in slot 4 from 1:34 to 3:54, another slow one.
Phase 4 — The Stall (2:23 – 3:12)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 19 | 2:23 | 🟫 Rust | 39 |
| 20 | 3:06 | 🟨 Yellow | 14 |
| 21 | 3:12 | 🟫 Rust | 19 |
There is a 49-second gap with no taps at all between 1:34 and 2:23 — that is the intended rhythm, not a mistake. Every slot is holding a block that is either frozen or draining one pixel at a time. Rust ×39 finally opens the cat's stripes at 2:23 and finishes its slot by 3:05.

Phase 5 — Slot 2 Cycles Through Short Blocks (3:28 – 4:04)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22 | 3:28 | 🩵 Cyan | 16 |
| 23 | 3:32 | 💠 Teal | 8 |
| 24 | 3:35 | 🟩 Green | 30 |
| 25 | 3:48 | 💠 Teal | 60 |
| 26 | 4:04 | ⬛ Dark grey | 50 |
Slot 2 fires four blocks in twenty seconds — cyan 16, teal 8, green 30 and teal 60 — all of them small and quick. The phase ends with the second big dark grey, ×50, which lands at 4:04 and is still in its slot at 7:09, the last block of the run to finish.

Phase 6 — Slot 4 Refills (4:05 – 4:42)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 27 | 4:05 | 💠 Teal | 18 |
| 28 | 4:13 | 🟦 Blue | 63 |
| 29 | 4:26 | 🟧 Orange | 41 |
| 30 | 4:35 | 🟩 Green | 29 |
| 31 | 4:42 | ⬜ White | 39 |
White ×81 finally empties slot 4 at 3:54 and the slot is reloaded four times in the next forty seconds: teal 18, blue 63, orange 41, green 29 and white 39. This is also the window where the chain on slot 5 breaks — the lock animation plays at around 4:35.

Phase 7 — Slot 5 Unlocks (4:42 – 5:31)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32 | 4:42 | 🟧 Orange | 53 |
| 33 | 5:00 | 🩵 Cyan | 88 |
| 34 | 5:05 | 🟫 Rust | 19 |
| 35 | 5:18 | 💠 Teal | 64 |
| 36 | 5:31 | 🩵 Cyan | 91 |
The fifth slot opens and immediately takes orange ×53 at 4:42, then becomes the cyan slot: ×88, then ×91 after a rust ×19 interlude. All five slots are busy at once here for the first time, which roughly doubles the eating rate.

Phase 8 — Slot 5 Keeps Feeding (5:50 – 6:33)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 37 | 5:50 | 🟧 Orange | 68 |
| 38 | 6:04 | 🩵 Cyan | 76 |
| 39 | 6:26 | 🟪 Magenta | 12 |
| 40 | 6:26 | 💠 Teal | 12 |
| 41 | 6:33 | 🟨 Yellow | 8 |
Orange ×68 and cyan ×76 keep the sky and the cat's legs coming down. At 6:26 the two tiny pinks arrive together: magenta ×12 for the cat's inner ears and nose, teal ×12 for a corner of hedge. The long-stuck pale pink ×7 in slot 3 also gives up here — it has been sitting on exactly 7 since 0:25 and finally drops to 1 and clears at 6:33.

Phase 9 — The Small Blocks (6:35 – 6:45)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 42 | 6:35 | 🟦 Blue | 29 |
| 43 | 6:37 | ⬜ White | 25 |
| 44 | 6:45 | 🟨 Yellow | 11 |
| 45 | 6:45 | 🟩 Green | 56 |
Four blocks in ten seconds as the board empties: blue 29, white 25, then yellow 11 and green 56 together.
Phase 10 — Final Sweep (6:55 – 7:17)
| # | Time | Color Block | Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 46 | 6:55 | 🟧 Orange | 56 |
| 47 | 6:59 | 🟩 Green | 57 |
| 48 | 7:05 | 💠 Teal | 37 |
| 49 | 7:07 | 🩵 Cyan | 94 |
The last four blocks go in almost back to back. Orange ×56 and green ×57 clear what is left of the cat and the meadow; teal ×37 takes the last hedge pixels; and the closing cyan ×94 lands at 7:07 with ninety-four pixels of sky still to eat.
The very last pixel to fall is Cyan. The cyan block in slot 1 drains 94 → 28 → 4 and empties the board at 7:15; the level-complete screen appears at 7:17.

Pro Tips
1. Fill all four open slots and keep them full. Slot 5 is chained until 4:35, and the level has fifty-second windows where every seated block is frozen — an empty slot there is wasted time.
2. Start the two heavy blocks early. Dark grey ×129 (0:35) and white ×81 (1:34) are the largest blocks of the run, and both of them hold their slot for well over two minutes. They are also the ones that unblock everything else, so they belong in the first half.
3. Expected stalls — do not fight them:
- Dark grey ×129 in slot 1, 0:35 → 6:21. The slowest block of the run: creeping from 129 down to 12 over nearly six minutes.
- Pale pink ×7 in slot 3, 0:25 → 6:33. Sits on exactly 7 for six minutes, then drops to 1 and clears within seconds.
- Dark grey ×50 in slot 2, 4:04 → 7:09. The last block to finish; still on 11 pixels at 7:05.
- White ×81 in slot 4, 1:34 → 3:54. Creeps down from 81 and holds the slot for two minutes twenty seconds.
- Rust ×19 in slot 4, 5:05 → 7:04. Parks on 19 and barely moves for the next two minutes.
- Orange ×58 in slot 2, 1:05 → 2:20. Sticks on 39 until the cat's outline opens.
- Rust ×39 in slot 2, 2:23 → 3:05, and teal ×60 in slot 2, 3:48 → 3:59.
All of them release on their own once the covering color is eaten.
4. Slot 5 changes the pace. Before 4:35 you are running four slots; after 4:42 all five are busy. Save the two biggest cyan blocks (×88 at 5:00 and ×91 at 5:31) for that window — the sky is nearly half the picture, and cyan is the color you will need the longest.
5. Hold a slot for cyan at the very end. Cyan appears seven times and the largest of them, ×94, is the finisher: it lands at 7:07 and empties the board at 7:15.
6. No fail state. Nothing can be lost here — one clean run takes 7:19 of footage at the game's ▶3× eating speed, and the order only affects how fast you get there.
