Step-by-step walkthrough

Prefer screenshots to video? Every phase of the clear is below in order, with the block counts and the frames they were taken from — keep it open next to the game and follow along tap by tap.

Level: 1085 — an EXTREME board: a smiling Man in a magenta headscarf and shawl behind a wooden market stall stacked with bread baskets, blue sky and green leaves behind her. Cleared in one run in 83 blocks.

Colors in this level: 🟩 Green · 🟧 Orange · 🩵 Cyan · 💠 Teal · 🟫 Rust · 🟪 Mauve · 🟤 Tan · ⬛ Dark grey · 🟦 Blue · 🟥 Red · ⬜ Off-white · 🟪 Magenta · 🟨 Yellow · 🟣 Purple

How the Level Works

1. Tap a color block in the bottom queue to send it into one of the five slots above. It always takes a free slot, so the order you tap is the only thing you control.

2. Ants of that color pour out and eat every reachable pixel of the matching color on the picture; the number printed on the block counts down as pixels disappear. At 0 the block vanishes and frees its slot.

3. Pixels can be walled in. A block that has run out of reachable pixels freezes at its current number until a neighbouring colour opens the way. That is normal for this game, not a bug — the printed count is not a time estimate.

4. Linked pairs. Three times this level sends two blocks chained together, with a link drawn between two neighbouring slots. The pair enters as a unit and both blocks must drain to 0 before either one leaves, so a linked slot can sit at 0 for a long time. The longest is the Rust + Mauve pair at 0:21, which freezes the pair for about ninety seconds.

5. One wrapped block. At 3:44 a bandage-wrapped block is seated. It carries no number, and it unwraps into a Dark grey 40 once it is in its slot.

6. Eat the entire picture to win. There is no move limit on an EXTREME board, so you can never lose — only take longer. A clean run places all 83 blocks between 0:04 and 5:52, the board is empty at 5:57, and the Level Complete screen appears at 6:02.

Complete Block Order (Which Color First, Then Which)

Timestamps are when the block lands in a slot (video time — the recording runs at 3x). Count is the number printed on the block as it lands. A block's number is highest right when it lands and only ever counts down, so the landing frame is the number to read.

Pro Tips

1. Keep all five slots full. An empty slot is idle ants. The queue refills from below, so tap the next block the moment one frees up — the opening five land inside the first eight seconds.

2. Send the big blocks first. Counts of 27–40 sit on large connected areas and drain fast. The tiny blocks (Red 4 at 2:51, Off-white 4 at 2:59, Red 5 at 3:02, Cyan 9 at 3:06) clear in a second or two and are best used to fill a slot the instant it frees.

3. Expect three linked pairs. At 0:21 Rust + Mauve, at 1:54 Orange + Cyan, and at 4:19 Dark grey + Tan arrive chained two by two. The Rust + Mauve pair is the longest stall in the level: Rust hits 0 early and the pair then sits frozen until about 1:51, when both finally leave and hand back two slots at once. Orange + Cyan behaves the same way from 1:54 to about 2:22.

4. Dark grey unlocks late. The board's dark outlines only become reachable once the neighbouring colours are gone, so the Dark grey blocks seated at 1:33, 4:19 and 5:32 do most of their work at the very end.

5. Watch the wrapped block at 3:44. It shows no number at all — leave it in its slot and it unwraps into a Dark grey block worth 40 pixels.

6. Finishing colours. Tan and Dark grey own the last rows of pixels. Place the final Tan (5:46) and Dark grey (5:52) together and the board clears at 5:57.

7. No fail state. There is no move limit on this EXTREME board — a full clear runs about 5:57 of video, roughly six minutes at 3x speed in the recording above.
