5 Common Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)

Every stuck player repeats the same five errors: tapping the biggest group last, stranding crumbs, ignoring the blocking color, tapping the scattered color too early, and refusing to restart.

Mistake one: saving the biggest group for last. The largest color takes the longest to clear, so leaving it until the end means it blocks every other color. Clear it first. Mistake two: stranding crumbs. If you clear a color while some of its pixels are trapped behind another color, those leftovers each need their own full swarm.

Mistake three: ignoring the blocking color. When two colors interlock, clear the one on top first so the other can be swept cleanly. Mistake four: tapping a scattered color early. A color with pixels all over the board wastes taps early — leave it until the board has opened up. Mistake five: refusing to restart. After four or five taps with no plan, a fresh board is faster than untangling a mess.
