Step-by-step walkthrough

Prefer screenshots to video? Every phase of the clear is below in order, with the block counts and the frames they were taken from — keep it open next to the game and follow along tap by tap.

Level: 949 - a pixel-art sewing kit: three thread spools (blue, magenta and green) on a rust-red cloth, an orange thimble and a silver needle in the lower half, a red thread heart on the right, all inside a light-blue border

How the Level Works

1. Tap a color block in the bottom queue to send it into one of the five slots above the hole. The queue runs in four independent columns, three blocks visible each; a column scrolls up only when its own front block is taken.

2. Ants of that color pour out of the hole and eat every reachable pixel of the matching color on the picture; the number printed on the block counts down while they work. At 0 the block vanishes and frees its slot.

3. The queue stays four columns deep for most of the run. It still holds ten or more blocks at 6:10 and only thins out in the last two minutes; the final block is taken at 9:31.

4. Pixels can be walled in. A block can sit with a handful of pixels left for two or three minutes while the rest of its color is buried under other colors. That is normal - the pixels fall the moment the blocking color is gone.

5. Eat the entire picture to win. There is no move limit, so the order below only decides how fast the five slots recycle. One clean run takes 9:35.

Complete Block Order (Which Color First, Then Which)

Timestamps are when the block lands in a slot. Count is the number printed on the block as it lands. The numbers below run in tap order, not by slot: each of the five slots refills many times.

Pro Tips

1. Keep all five slots full. The picture is cleared by volume, not by order, so the only real waste is an idle slot: the moment a block finishes, tap the next one from whichever queue column is ready. The cheap slot-fillers are Rust 5, Mauve 3, White 5, White 10 and White 13.

2. Slot 4 is blocked from the very start. Tan 15 (step 5, 0:05.5) lands in slot 4 and does not finish until 3:54 - it holds that slot for 228 seconds, the longest stay of the level. From 0:05.5 to 3:54 you are playing with four slots, so plan the opening around it.

3. Slot 3 is almost never empty. Rust 5, Rust 35, Dark grey 35 (0:55.5 to 2:15), Tan 25 (2:35.5 to 4:01.5), Tan 13 (5:31.5 to 7:34.5) and the star-marked Red 49 (7:46 to 9:29.5) hand that slot over almost without a gap.

4. Three blocks hold a slot for over a minute. Cyan 24 (step 54, 5:57) sits in slot 1 until 8:57 - three minutes, the longest of the run. Yellow 19 (step 66, 6:39.5) holds slot 2 for 158 seconds until 9:17.5, and Dark grey 23 (step 83, 8:01.5) holds slot 5 for 91.5 seconds until 9:33. Do not read a frozen number as a bug.

5. The stall at 1:23 is real. Nothing new lands for 48 seconds (1:23 to 2:11.5) because all five slots are occupied by slow blocks. There is nothing to do but wait - the queue is not stuck.

6. Three blocks carry a yellow star on a red face. They are the level's highlighted blocks: Red star 49 (step 44, 4:41.5), Red star 63 (step 60, 6:14.5, the biggest block of the level) and Red star 49 (step 79, 7:46). Tap them like any other block when their turn comes.

7. Orange carries the most pixels. Orange is 270 pixels over 14 blocks, and the heavy ones - Orange 24 (step 38, 3:29) and Orange 31 (step 99, 9:25) - land after the outline is open and drain fast. Orange 24 locks slot 1 for 66 seconds.

8. The last 40 seconds are pure waiting. Nothing new lands after 9:31 (step 102): Teal 25, Mauve 17, Tan 14, Green 18, Rust 24, Orange 13, Rust 15, White 13, Rust 24, Orange 31, Tan 23, Rust 25 and Teal 17 are all still on the board, and the picture does not finish emptying until 9:35.5.

9. Finale. The last block you place is Teal 17 at 9:31, and the last pixel on the board is also Teal, eaten at 9:34.5. The Level Complete screen follows at 9:36 - no failed taps, no wasted moves.
