Step-by-step walkthrough

Level: 577 — a pixel-art chihuahua portrait: a pink and magenta bandana wrapped across the head, tan fur, a heavy dark outline, and a full-canvas pixel background of teal and blue with three sparkles

How the Level Works

1. Tap a color block in the bottom queue to send it into one of the five slots above. All five slots are open from the start on this level — nothing is chained shut. 2. Ants of that color pour out and eat every reachable pixel of the matching color on the picture; the number printed on the block counts down as pixels are eaten. At 0 the block vanishes and frees its slot. 3. The queue is three columns and three rows, and the bottom row is clipped by the screen edge, so only the top two rows are fully readable. That is the video's framing, not a missing row. 4. The board is an "EXTREME Level" and the whole canvas is the picture. There is no un-eatable base colour here: the teal and blue background pixels around the dog are part of the artwork and have to be eaten too, which is why the level needs ten Teal blocks. 5. Two blocks park for minutes. Rust ×31 (step 33) holds slot 5 from 2:36 to 5:24, and Dark grey ×60 (step 49) holds slot 2 from 4:29 to 6:11. Between them they explain most of the idle slots in the second half. 6. Eat the entire picture to win. One clean run takes 6:33, and the order below clears it without a single wasted tap.

Colors in this level: Teal (the main background across the right side and the top of the board — the biggest area at 394 pixels), Peach (the dog's tan fur, 336), Dark grey (the outline drawn around the head, ears, eyes and muzzle, 279), Orange (the brighter fur patches on the ears, cheeks and chest, 180), Blue (the blue background squares in the upper-left, 192), Pink (the pale panels of the bandana, 98), Magenta (the vivid panels and folds of the bandana, 86), White (the eye glint and the light muzzle highlights, 63), Mauve (the grey-purple shading on the left cheek and the collar beads, 62), Rust (the brown shading inside the ears and the dark fur marks, 59), Purple (the deep purple folds of the bandana and the inner ear, 57), Yellow (the yellow sparkle beside the head, 15), Red (the tongue and the collar studs, 14), Green (a single green fleck in the sparkle cluster — 11 pixels in the whole picture).

The very last pixel to fall is Dark grey — block 67 (Dark grey ×37, placed at 6:30) keeps slot 3 running while the Purple ×25 in slot 5 (step 66) empties out first. The board is completely clear at 6:33.

Pro Tips

1. Expect the 44-second lull at 1:36 – 2:20. Nothing is fed at all in that window. The last four blocks on the board (Teal ×50, Green ×4, Rust ×2, Green ×3) are grinding out the final pixels of their areas, and the Peach ×62 that restarts the board only becomes useful at 2:20. Do not park a slot waiting.

3. Rust ×31 (step 33) is the biggest park of the level. It lands in slot 5 at 2:36 and stays there until 5:24 (about 2 minutes 48), sitting on 5 for over a minute because its remaining pixels are walled in by Magenta and Peach.

4. Dark grey ×60 (step 49) parks slot 2 from 4:29 to 6:11 (about 102 seconds). Add Peach ×62 (step 29: slot 1, 2:20 → 3:31) and Dark grey ×57 (step 31: slot 4, 2:21 → 3:26) and you can see why two slots look idle through the second half.

5. Feed the big colours first whenever a slot frees. Teal is 394 pixels across ten blocks, Peach 336 across seven, Dark grey 279 across six — 55% of the picture between them. They drain fast and recycle their slots.

6. The third queue row is clipped in the recording. The bottom row of the queue disappears under the screen edge; that is the video framing, not a missing row. Fresh blocks scroll up from below it.

7. The finale belongs to Dark grey. Dark grey ×37 (step 67) placed at 6:30 is the last block still running — the Purple ×25 in slot 5 goes first.
