Level: 1017 — a pixel-art witch in a pink-and-purple pointed hat, riding her broomstick across a teal night sky with yellow stars and a big yellow moon

Full board at start

How the Level Works

1. Tap a color block in the bottom queue to send it into one of the five slots above. The queue runs in four independent columns, and a column scrolls up one step when its own front block is taken.

2. Ants of that color pour out of the hole in the plank and eat every reachable pixel of the matching color on the witch picture. The number printed on the block counts down as the pixels disappear, and at 0 the block vanishes and frees its slot.

3. Numbers fall fast — 2 to 3 per second. The value that matters is the one the block shows the moment it lands: the opening Charcoal is on 60 at 0:03 and already on 31 by 0:13.

4. Pixels can be walled in. A block keeps its slot for as long as it still has pixels it can reach, so it can sit there for minutes. Magenta ×21 (step 29) holds slot 4 for 91 seconds, and three more blocks hold their slots for over a minute — see Pro Tips.

5. The dark outline is the biggest single job. Charcoal ×139 (step 36) is the largest block of the level, and it is what finally opens the picture up.

6. Eat the entire picture to win. One clean run takes 3:42; the level-complete screen appears at 3:44.

Colors in this level: ⬛ Charcoal (the outline around every shape, the darkest sky patches and the hat brim) · ⬜ White (a single highlight pixel in the witch's eye) · 🟨 Yellow (the stars, the moon in the top-right corner, the hair and the hat band) · 🟨 Sand (the skin: the face, the hands and the ear) · 🟧 Orange (the broom bristles and the warm shading on the dress) · 🟫 Rust (the broom handle and the brown shadow cells) · 🟪 Magenta (the pointed hat and the dress highlights) · 🟪 Mauve (a few grey-purple shading cells beside the hat) · 🟣 Purple (the dress and the hat brim) · 🩷 Pale pink (the pale band across the hat and the dress) · 🟦 Blue (the blue splash under the broom and the water at the bottom) · 💠 Teal (the night sky behind the witch — by far the largest area of the picture)

Pro Tips

1. Do not wait for the stuck blocks. Magenta ×21 (step 29, 1:19) holds slot 4 for 91 seconds, Purple ×24 (step 27, 1:03) holds slot 1 for 81 seconds, Magenta ×14 (step 35, 1:55) holds slot 3 for 68 seconds and Yellow ×38 (step 31, 1:34) holds slot 2 for 48 seconds. Their numbers sit frozen while their pixels are buried — feed the other colors around them instead of waiting.

2. There is a 32-second dead patch from 1:55 to 2:27 and it is normal. Four of the five slots are held by the walled-in blocks above, so nothing useful can be seated. The next tap only lands at 2:27 (Teal ×18), and the picture restarts from there.

3. Feed Charcoal early and often. Charcoal is the second-biggest color in the picture (9 blocks, 480 printed): ×60, ×59, ×58, ×30, ×31, ×139, ×32, ×31 and ×40. The ×139 block lands at 1:55 and recycles its slot in 27 seconds, which is what unlocks the whole endgame.

4. Teal is the sky. Nine teal blocks (581 printed) carry the big flat night-sky area. The 79s and 80s drain almost as fast as they land; the small ones (Teal ×21 at 0:51, Teal ×18 at 2:27, Teal ×65 at 3:03) only mop up the cells the big ones left behind.

5. Mind the low-contrast colors. Sand ×15, ×19 and ×22 and Mauve ×3 are close to the color of the wooden panel behind the queue, so they are easy to scroll past. Skipping them leaves the witch's skin and shading cells behind and stalls the finale.

6. The one-pixel White block is real. Step 32 at 1:42 shows a white bag printed with a 1; it appears in its slot for a single frame and vanishes immediately. Tap it whenever the slot is free — it clears the last white highlight pixel.

7. The finale belongs to Pale pink and Charcoal. The last six taps (3:17 – 3:35) are Orange ×19, Magenta ×14, Pale pink ×20, Sand ×22, Charcoal ×40 and Blue ×30, and the very last pixel to fall is Pale pink at 3:42. The pale pink block fed at 3:21 is the one that finishes the picture, so keep a slot free for it as soon as the sand is gone.
